We live in stressful times. Fortunately, there's emerging research that supports the benefits of an age-old practice that effectively reduces stress and increases self-discipline. Come join in the festivities at the Orange County Landfill as we celebrate 20 years of recycling! There will be exhibits, children's games and activities, and music. Visitors can take a guided tour of the landfill and the recycling facility (children under the age of 4 cannot be accomodated on the tour bus). The day's festivities will be rewarding for all attending the celebration, which will be held rain or shine. On display at the Museum are 45 extraordinary examples of textiles and beadwork from a number of regions of the African continent. Highlights include a colorful Kente cloth of West Africa, beautifully beaded aprons of the Kirdi in Cameroon, a Zulu wedding cape and embellished animal skins of the San people of South Africa, as well as a number of stunning beaded crowns and headdresses of the Yoruba people of Nigeria. The Roth Collection has been recognized by Art and Antiques Magazine as one of the top 100 art collections in America.

Contemporary art can include representational imagery, pure abstraction or elements of both. Additionally, artists often borrow styles and imagery from art of the past, other cultures and popular media. Artists whose work will be represented in this exhibition include Ursula von Rydingsvard, John Chamberlain, Frank Moore, Therman Statom, Chuck Close and Howardena Pindell.

There are some exhibits that are the staple of the Orlando Science Center. NatureWorks will have you up close and personal with some of nature's most fascinating reptiles. At DinoDigs, you'll step back into the prehistoric age. Explore such concepts as electricity and magnetism, lasers, soundwaves, and nature's forces in Science Park. No visit to the Science Center is complete without a trip to KidsTown, an interactive world dedicated to our smaller explorers.

Embark on a journey and unlock the door to the fascinating history of Central Florida as the center's five-story masterpiece takes visitors back 12,000 years through a series of interactive permanent exhibits, providing hours of fun and entertainment. Among the many permanent exhibits that The History Center has to offer are the following smart, surprising, and fun activities for the whole family to enjoy.

This exhibition will present more than 40 paintings and sculptures from the nation's early years through the 20th century. On display are works by Thomas Moran, Georgia O'Keeffe, George Inness, Herman Herzog, Robert Henri, Charles Sheeler and others.
